Madagascar

Last December the boys were dying to see the new Penguin Madagascar movie. We invited their friend Bennett and headed to the movies. They loved it!!

Pre Christmas Owen

Gosh I'm trying with this little blog. I took a bunch of photos of Owen one morning when he was being extra cute. He was watching netflix on the computer. Then we got him ready, then he posed for some photos in front of the tree. Then he ate lunch and he was off to school. Not sure why I took so many photos of him this particular day, but I have to blog them! I am so bad at taking photos with my camera these days. :(

Playing in the Snow

Owen wanted to go play in the snow one afternoon in Winter and so I said go for it. He didn’t change out of his shorts, but he did put on a coat and some snow boots! He is so funny. Bode was taking pictures and instructing me what to do… haha. loriromneyphotography_2876loriromneyphotography_2873loriromneyphotography_2874loriromneyphotography_2877loriromneyphotography_2875loriromneyphotography_2878loriromneyphotography_2880loriromneyphotography_2879

Valentine’s

We had a fun fam date night for V-day this year. Clint showed up later than I did and so I tried to make the boys eat and stay sitting down in their seats. Yeah.. that didn’t happen. Some employee was dancing near the entrance of this place and when Owen sees anyone dancing or hears any music.. he must dance too. Off he went to show everyone his moves. He was quite popular this night.

Bode loved every single thing he did. He’s so dang cute. Owen wandered around and stared at everything. It was a super fun night! 2013-02-20_00192013-02-20_00172013-02-20_00182013-02-20_00202013-02-20_00212013-02-20_00222013-02-20_00232013-02-20_00242013-02-20_0025

Playing in Snow

Bode begs to play outside all day and I feel bad, but I HATE snow. I hate being cold. We don’t have a fenced in yard and he’s too young to let roam around unattended, so if he goes out.. I go out. I realize it’s very selfish of me to keep him in, but if Bode is outside – Owen wants to be too. Owen loves being outside! He plays and plays and his mittens always fall off and he throws a fit if I try to help him put them back on. In no time at all, he’s crying because he is cold. I have no clue why we live in Utah since I am such a sissy about winter.

I have been making more of an effort to take the boys out. We have had some lucky afternoons where the sun has been shining, so we take advantage. Cold still? Yes. It’s bearable though. Cookies help. 2013-02-19_00092013-02-19_00082013-02-19_00072013-02-19_00042013-02-19_00062013-02-19_0005

Owen Boy

This adorable almost 17 month old is such a cute little thing! I love him more and more everyday. He has 9 teeth, 3 being molars. His vocabulary is growing daily and he tries to mimic everything he hears. My favorites are “mik” for milk and “uck” for yuck which means he needs a diaper change. He understands what it means to go “pee” and will even do it if I ask him when he’s standing in the shower before a bath. He loves to cuddle and bed time is my favorite because I’m sure to get lots of loves. He gets to watch a little part of a movie before bed and he loves Puss in Boots. He gets so comfortable and completely relaxes on our laps. He loves nap time. He has to get his “hugs and kiss” from Bode and then it’s in the crib where he’s giggling, waving and snuggling his fave stuffed cat. He’s very strong willed and went through a phase of no remorse for being naughty. Clint taught him the actual word naughty and he put the two together with his behavior and the word and now every time I say he’s being naughty he melts down into full on sobs with a curled lip. It’s heart breaking and I’m glad he understands when he’s done something wrong all at the same time. He loves eating. period. He also loves the snow and loves to play outside. He’s a good little dancer and loves to jump.

This would be Owen’s first Oreo.It was peanut butter stuffed so of course he loved it. 2013-02-01_0012

Sledding at the Ranch

Clint’s brother Andy and his wife Jodi invited us up to their family ranch for a little sledding. I was super excited to be able to go, but we don’t have the appropriate snow gear! I hate being cold and so does Bode so I just never kept up on getting him new sizes of snow pants etc. as he got older and grew out of the ones he wore when he was 2. Like once. Luckily I had just gotten Bode some snow boots and we borrowed almost everything else. Jodi had lots of stuff, and so did my neighbor. Thanks heavens!

It was so much fun. Holy cow. I really wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. It was beautiful that day and it was nice to drive up into the mountains and get out of the smog we have been suffering with forever. I didn’t get cold.. in fact I took off my coat at one point because I was so hot. Owen took a nap and missed out on a bunch of sledding on the big hill, but Bode had a blast. He screamed in excitement the entire ride down the hill. He wasn’t a huge fan of walking up the hill back to the top and got lazy some of the times, but lucky for him there was usually someone to pull him up. After a few rides we even had someone to pull us all back up. I think it helped that his cousins Darci, Drew and Brooklyn were champs and having a great time too. He lasted way longer than I thought he would! Clint and I had so much fun going down together. I rode on his back and I was a little scared a few of the times. I guess the hill got a lot faster the day after we went.. so that’s probably good I got to go when I did! Clint had the bright idea of having us go down a faster, bumpier trail with a little jump thing. It was fun but I ended up smashing him since I was on top of him and his gut hurt a bit after that. It was his idea!!!

Bode was ready to go inside before Clint and I were, so Clint got him situated with a movie and he hung out until we were done. We came back in to find he had gotten into and eaten almost half a thing of Oreos. Maybe more. We can’t remember how many were in there. It was so funny. He tried to deny it at first, but his mouth was covered in them.

After Owen woke up we headed back out for round two. We took the kids to a tiny hill just in front of the house. Owen loves the snow. He had such a great time. He could have stayed out there forever I swear. He was so cute walking around looking like a small marshmallow. His cheeks were so rosy and he just wanted to keep going down over and over again. It was so cute!

Thanks so much Andy and Jodi for letting us hang out with your family. It was so much fun and we always love an invitation to the ranch. Here are tons of pictures of our day. 2013-01-27_00092013-01-27_00062013-01-27_00102013-01-27_00012013-01-27_00032013-01-27_00042013-01-27_00052013-01-27_00072013-01-27_00082013-01-27_00112013-01-27_00122013-01-27_00132013-01-27_00142013-01-27_00152013-01-27_00162013-01-27_00172013-01-27_00182013-01-27_00192013-01-27_00202013-01-27_00212013-01-27_00222013-01-27_00232013-01-27_00242013-01-27_00252013-01-27_00262013-01-27_00272013-01-27_00282013-01-27_00292013-01-27_00302013-01-27_00312013-01-27_00322013-01-27_0033
