Just Fishing

There is this fishing pond in Bountiful that is not far from our house. Last week we decided it would be fun to go for family night. The weather was nice and warm and the light was so pretty. Of course the boys LOVED it.

The little fishing evening began with Owen throwing rocks into the water near Bode and then Bode flipping out because Owen was scaring all the fish away. Fun times. We talked Owen into going to a different part of the water, and he was ok with that. No one had much luck with the fish department… Clint didn’t bring his fly rods, the tip of one of the spinning rod we use for the boys was broken from them “practicing” with it, and we haven’t replaced all our lost lures from last summer yet. So we didn’t have many options!

I decided I wanted a try. I switched up the lure and my second cast in guess who caught the only fish? That’s right. You’re welcome boys. Bode was a little 5 year old in heaven! It was soo cute! Owen was too, up until it was time to go… Then he was NOT happy. We got him calmed down and all was good in his world again.

I just love our time together as a family! Bode let us know on the ride home that his hands still smelled like fish, and he couldn’t have been more happy about it.loriromneyphotography_2012loriromneyphotography_2013loriromneyphotography_2014loriromneyphotography_2015loriromneyphotography_2016loriromneyphotography_2017loriromneyphotography_2018loriromneyphotography_2019loriromneyphotography_2020loriromneyphotography_2021loriromneyphotography_2022loriromneyphotography_2023loriromneyphotography_2024loriromneyphotography_2026loriromneyphotography_2028loriromneyphotography_2029loriromneyphotography_2030loriromneyphotography_2031loriromneyphotography_2039loriromneyphotography_2027loriromneyphotography_2032loriromneyphotography_2036loriromneyphotography_2033loriromneyphotography_2034loriromneyphotography_2035loriromneyphotography_2025loriromneyphotography_2038loriromneyphotography_2037loriromneyphotography_2040loriromneyphotography_2041
