5 Random Facts

So I was reading on Kelli's page that she was tagged to do this thingy and then I read the people she tagged herself. I was wondering why she didn't tag me. Not that I care, but I was just trying to figure out why she left me out. So then I am browsing through Emily's page and I notice that Emily (Kelli's sister in law) had tagged me! Unless she is friends with another Lori it all makes sense why Kelli did not tag me. I know, I am a loser. Don't even ask me why I thought twice about it... So here goes nothing.

1. I look at everyone's hair. No matter where I am, my eyes go straight to the head. I think in my head what I would have done differently with the color or cut, or the way they styled it. If I really like it, I am thinking what color/cut techniques and foil placement their stylist must have done to create that look.

2. One of Clint's really good friends, Matt, was a missionary in my ward when I lived in Lexington, KY. He was one of my Mom's favorite Elders, and he would come to the house quite often. Fast forward a few years to me and Clint bumping into each other at a party in Colorado sitting on a couch talking. This was probably the second or third time that I had ever talked to him. (We met at the single's ward in Denver.) That is when we realized we knew the same person and Matt was home by this time, so Clint called him right there so I could talk to him! Matt was telling Clint how those Bolingbroke girls were pretty cool and he gave him the approval to date me! Talk about a coincedence.

3. I used to canoe. I was on a canoe team of 6 girls and we raced for over 25 miles one summer in Arkansas. We had to become registered Eagle Scouts and everything. It was pretty intense. I trained for months on end and had a work out schedule prepared especially for the muscles I needed to canoe. I was a steerer. (The person who sits in the back.) It was so much fun. The race was over 4 days and we camped along the river every night. My team even won our division! I have a little wooden trophy and everything. Since we never lived in one place for longer than a year, I was only able to canoe for one summer. The next summer though, I met up with my team and canoed in Minnesota and Canada. It was lucky I was living in Minnesota at the time so I could meet up with the team.

4. My husband and I carpool. We commute 2 hours total everyday. It definately blows a big one, but I have to say.... I enjoy the time with my husband! Lucky for me, he drives all the time. I hate driving. It's such a waste of time to get from point A to point B, so I always speed. We never really made time to just sit and talk for that long at a time without other interuptions. So even thought I hate commuting, it's not all bad.

5. I miss my Mom and I wish she lived closer to me. She just lives in Cedar City, which isn't too far away, but it seems hard to find the time to go. I hate that. Oh and I miss my Dad too. :)
