Field Trip with Owen

This is the Place Heritage Park is so much fun. I love going on field trips with my boys! We got there about 15 minutes late, so I carried Owen while I walked swiftly to meet up with the rest of the kids. That was a bad idea because he thought I should carry him around the rest of the time! All 30 something pounds of him. I put him down and expected he would run over to whatever they were doing, but no. He stayed right by my side being all clingy and sad. It was strange. He eventually got over it and had a really fun time, as long as he knew I was right there watching his every move.

He got to see bunnies and chicks and loved that! He played in these cute little houses, which was all fun and games until he climbed up some stairs and was too scared to come back down. Luckily a friend found me and let me know he was up there stuck and sad about it. After that the kids got to learn all about pioneer children and try out some of their chores. After learning that at the age of 3 they started kids churning butter for 30 minutes to an hour, I think I am going to add more things to his chore list. But really who am I kidding because it's like pulling teeth to get him to help when Bode cleans up. That Owen! They played on a wooden train and then really did get to go on one! No parents allowed this time, but luckily Owen seemed to love that he got to sit by his teacher.

I can't believe year is just about over! We have loved Owen's preschool and teacher. I am SO looking forward to summer, but sad another year of school has come and gone.

Anyway, I'm glad I got to go and we had a lot of fun on Owen's last field trip of the year.
