Take me Out...

Clint has softball games every Monday Night. Bode is usually in bed by the time he has to leave, but a few times they are early and we can tag along. It can be a daunting task to try and entertain a 10 month old for 2 hours in a place where he can't walk around or play anywhere... We manage to have a good time anyway. Bode had fun watching dad in the outfield, but wouldn't stop putting bark chips in his mouth. After this inning, Clint informed me it was a dangerous area to play because of foul balls. It was fun while it lasted. This grassy area behind us was fun to play in for a while until Bode noticed a pile of dog poop and didn't want to stay away from it. It was also a 3 foot drop off on every side, and he couldn't stay away from the edge.. and we had the same bark problem as the grassy area before. That didn't last long. I tried to entertain him with gold fish.. that did last for a while until he started leaving a gold fish trail everywhere we strolled around. I kept telling him Gunner was at home and was not going to eat the ones he dropped. Clint was great and came out of the dug out every chance he could get to play with the baby. Uncle Aaron entertained him through the fence. It was just about 8:00 and Bode was getting pretty tired. After that bottle, he was ready for bed.
We had a fun time, but it's a lot of work with Bode around. I am hoping as he gets older he can run around and have more fun. He tries to walk everywhere he goes now, and he's getting pretty good! (He took 20-25 steps across his room yesterday and I about died.) BUT he isn't full on walking and ends up falling and crawling a bit still. This park was way too dusty and dirty to let him do that.
The boys won both games by a huge amount. That made for a lovely car ride home. :) We got some 5 buck pizza on the way home and called it a night.

Good job, Uncle Aaron! Haha. I can't believe how grown up Bode is getting! He's so cute!

My mom always tells this story about trying to entertain my 2 older brothers at my dad's softball games. Apparently one time they were hoping from bleacher to bleacher and the younger one fell and split his head open. haha.

I loved going to those softball games. So much fun. I can't believe Bode is almost one. Tiome goes by way to fast.
