Bode Happenings

Bode is the best most fun kid in the whole world. I’m allowed to say that because he’s mine! We are having SO much fun with him at this age. Everyday he does something that makes us both laugh to death. I am always taking little movies with my cell phone and sending them off to Clint at work.

The other morning I was so tired. I figured I would hang out with Bode in his bedroom so I didn’t have to pay a whole lot of attention to him. I shut the door and left Gunner out and made sure it was pretty kid proof. I found a few blankets and laid on the floor on my stomach. Bode was playing around and making animal sounds and having a grand old time. Every so often he would come and pinch me or play with my hair, but for the most part he left me alone. I guess I knocked out because about an hour later I woke up to my hands that had fallen asleep. I always sleep with my hands under me – so they fall asleep. Not the smartest thing, I know. I also felt a weird pressure on my legs. Bode had fallen asleep on top of me! Like I said, I was on my stomach with my legs close together and Bode was on his back laying on both of my legs with his hands sprawled out fast asleep. He never falls asleep in random places like some kids do, so I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe I had fallen asleep! Anyways – that’s my funny story.

What he’s been up to:

He loves to jump and dance on command.

Loves to sit on the bottom stair and tap his feet on the hardwood.

He loves to tell Gunner to “sit!” as he’s pointing.

Likes making all animal sounds all day long to himself.

Gives high fives, kisses, and rocks. (Ya know – that fist thing?)

He’s decided he doesn’t like milk anymore and guzzles water all day long.

Trying to mimic us in everything we do. (The other morning Clint was trying to give me a kiss goodbye for work and I turned my head so he could kiss my cheek. I had just woken up and thought a cheek kiss would be much better! Clint went to kiss Bode next and Bode turned his head! He tried a few times, but every time Bode would move away, just like I did.)

He learns new words everyday.

He loves to read books to himself.

LOVES playing Ring Around the Rosie. He always does an extra twist before the fall. :)

He pouts when he doesn’t get his way and just learned how to throw a mini tantrum. I nip that in the butt because it makes me go mad. I tell him to stop and he most often does, if not he’s in time out.

UMMM…

I feel like I’m scatter brained and can’t think of anything else to say even though I know there is much more I am forgetting! This will do for now. :)
