I had all these big plans for crafts and cute Easter activities, decorations, desserts and photo shoots.. and time got away from me. I didn’t really do any of those things.
I forgot to buy white eggs.. so I hard boiled the brown ones we had lying around. I was in such a hurry to get them boiled that I didn’t even boil them all the way through (which we found out later…) I also never made it to the store to buy the dye, so I found this crayon melting idea via pinterest. Bode had fun with it and they turned out alright.
Bode wasn’t dressed when I thought the eggs were ready and since they have to be hot in order for the crayons to melt…. I just told him he could stay in his undies and we’d get him dressed later. Everything was fine and then I opened the door for more light and he got super embarrassed! His friend Elle was outside and he did NOT want her seeing him without clothes on.

I was waiting and waiting for Bode to come back down with his clothes on. I went upstairs to check on him and he was laying on my bed watching TV! Crazy kid. We hurried and got him dressed, but by the time we were finally ready the eggs had cooled off a ton. The one Clint did while he was waiting on us was the best one of all. It’s the orange one on the far left.
Bode had a pretty fun time.
Below is Bode’s newest dinosaur from the Easter bunny. It’s getting rather hard to find dinosaurs that don’t already live in his toy box!
Here is the final product… along with a dinosaur friend of course!
