Provo Canyon

Last weekend I did some photos for my sister in law and her cute family. They were staying at their family's ranch up Provo canyon and so we brought the whole fam to tag along. After I was all done with their photos we left and were planning on getting dinner and heading home.

Clint and Bode tried to fish a bit at the pond at the ranch, but didn’t catch anything. Clint wanted to fish a little bit more so on the way out he said we were going to stop by the river and they were going to try and fish for a few minutes. I know how this “fish a few minutes” thing goes and I told him it was time for dinner. I also asked him if I should take Owen out of his car seat and he said no. Well. A few minutes goes by and I go to check on Owen and so far so good. Like 5 more minutes and I check again and he’s not happy. I get him out and we watch Clint try and fish a few more minutes. Owen loved looking all around and it was so beautiful. I’m guessing 20 has gone by. I’m ignoring the rumbling in my stomach (I hadn’t had lunch.) Every time I go to stand up from sitting down I start to feel dizzy. No big deal.

After no luck at the first spot Clint wants to go try another. I remind him that it’s dinner time and I don’t know how long I’ll be able to hold Owen off and that he’s kind of hard to watch around water, nature etc. So we get to the second spot and the boys are actually having a really fun time. Bode is kind of bored because Clint isn’t catching anything – but he was playing with leaves and just watching Clint. Owen on the other hand. He loved playing with the leaves and he was having fun as well, but trying to dive into the river. He did not want to be held or moved or touched at all. This proves difficult when every 10 seconds I have to save his life because he’s trying to go for the water. He can be a happy camper one minute and throwing a tantrum the next. Usually the tantrums happen around meal times. About 20 minutes had gone by and Owen just flips out. I take a screaming Owen over to Clint and ask him if we can go already. He then lectures me about how I’m such a party pooper and why was I complaining when everyone was having fun and stuff. He said I can not be spontaneous and if my life is not planned out by the minute then I flip out. Not true really. I was just hungry. And grumpy. And a few minutes turned into 40.

Anyways here are all the pictures!! We DID have a nice time even though Clint thinks I ruined our night with my bad attitude. SORRY LOVE.

We had dinner at 6:30 at some Carl’s Jr. on the way home and that was pretty fun too. I took Owen all the way up this jungle gym so he could go down a slide and he loved it – just like his big brother.

I think you are a trooper and quite spontaneous. I would have said no we're going to eat! You are a great mom. Love the pictures.

You lasted a lot longer than I would have. Thanks for taking the time to come up and take our pictures.
