We just got back from the best weekend! I blocked off a Saturday a few weeks ago for camping and my sweet grandma passed away, so her funeral was that weekend. I am so so grateful that I didn’t have work and that I was free to go to her services!
We still wanted to go camping, though. Bode is in school already and we figured Labor day was our last chance. We have been so busy this summer, it just never happened.
It finally did and it reminded me just how much I love my little family. The boys were in heaven, we all had a blast, we gathered some wood, caught some fish, made some memories, spent time with friends, laughed, groasted lots of marshmallows (as Owen calls it), ate lots of smores, went on some rock adventures, fed some raccoons, hiked around, followed a mouse trail, got rained on, heard owls, saw osprey eating fish, played with fire (safely), saw a beautiful sunset, got dirty, and spent lots of priceless TIME together. It really is such a great reminder that it’s good to slow down and enjoy what really matters. Man, did I need it. I want to go again and again and again.

These photos and memories are so beautiful! It makes my heart hurt, I haven't been camping at all this year.
You are so awesome! I hate camping and wish that I enjoyed it. Just way too much work. And I'm totally craving Smore's
