Easter

We had so much fun this weekend! Bode is at a really fun age and we loved seeing him enjoy this holiday. He didn’t care about the hunts, but he would find one egg and sit and eat all the candy inside of it while the other kids got the other eggs. We started out going to an Easter egg hunt over at the park near our house. It was pure chaos and we were 2 minutes late and ended up missing the whole thing. We ran into our friends who shared a few eggs with Bode and he didn’t waste time unwrapping the candy and eating it.

After the hunt at Nolan Park we walked over to a friend’s house for another hunt. She had the kids make the cutest cupcakes! I made one for Bode because he wanted to eat the stuff and that was all. She had lunch for everyone and we all had a great time.

Next up for the day was an Easter egg hunt over at my grandma’s house. It was fun seeing all the cousins and having the kids play together. Bode did pretty good trying to look for the eggs this time, but then he would put them back where he found them. Clint kept making fun of me but I grabbed a few for his basket. He’s in a different shirt because he got candy all over the first one from earlier that morning.

 

Today I gave Bode his Easter basket and he loved it! I had so much stuff for him this year I ended up giving him half of it last week, but he still loved the little things he got today. He kept walking like the egg toy stomping his feet and it was pretty cute. He is so funny. I tried telling him about Jesus and although he can point to a picture and say His name he was all about the candy this year.

 

Today we had an Easter feast over at my parent’s house. It was so good! I can’t believe all the yummy food that was there. It really felt like Thanksgiving. My parents let us take leftovers home and I can’t wait to eat them. Especially the candied yams. Yum. Bode has so much fun with Kaylan and Kenna. My brother in law is over in Korea and so Kelli and the girls stayed with my parents for the weekend. We drove down a few times to play. We just love hanging out with the Thurgoods! We missed Erica and her family. I hope you guys had fun in Cedar.

 

I thought I’d do a collage just of Kenna. She is so cute!!! Those eyes. Ahhhhhh.
