Fishing

We found this cool little creek near our house and Bode loves to fish there. Clint took Bode and his friend Cooper one day and we took the boys back another. It’s pretty fun! Clint goes to the gas station before his fishing trips, so when he took Bode and his friend the first time he stopped by to let them get snacks and drinks. The next time we went Bode had to go to the gas station first! SO funny.

Owen is a little too small and gets into WAY too much trouble. I tried bringing his saucer toy to stand him up in, but he climbed out of that thing in no time at all and wanted to crawl around in the dirt. I took him aside and let him play in a safer area where he could stand on logs and be in the shade. It was so hot!

Bode has been obsessed with flies lately. Clint will cut off the hook and let him play with them. He’s got quite the collection. Clint ties his flies in the basement and it’s kind of a hazard area down there. Since it’s not finished we don’t let Bode go down there, unless he’s wanting to help out with laundry or whatever. Lately, I’ve been catching him sneaking down there to rummage through Clint’s flies! He told Clint that he really wanted a fly on his hat. I thought it was so cute because Clint has flies on all of his hats and Bode wanted to be just like his dad. :)
