So my church does a General Conference twice a year. Prophets of today speak to all the members and it is broadcast all over the world. I hate to say it, but I haven’t always been a faithful conference watcher. We record it on the DVR where it remains forever and I watch some parts here and there. This time was different. I knew that I needed to hear the words that were going to be spoken and I made myself watch all of it.
I missed the first part of the Sunday morning session because I woke up with a doozy of a headache. During the break I found the part I missed on my phone and listened to it. I am so glad that I did because I needed to hear this talk : The Hope of God's Light By President Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
After the broadcast was over we headed to my parent’s house for dinner and fun in the backyard. The food was delicious and the boys had a blast. My mom called a neighbor to see if her son could come play with Bode. Those boys got along great and were so cute with each other. The older boys played a rousing game of don’t let the ball touch the ground and I sat in a lawn chair with a blanket. I’m a wimp and it was cold. What can I say?
Two tired little boys slept great that night.
