Peanut Butter Ice Cream

 

I got an ice cream maker. I love ice cream. This is a really bad combination. The first time making any was a huge fiasco. I didn’t refrigerate the mixture like it suggested because I was too impatient to wait a few hours. Well, apparently that was a really important step. It only takes 20 minutes to make, but the metal bowl takes 24 hours to freeze before you can use it. It also thaws out SUPER fast. In like 20 minutes fast. By the time I realized the ice cream wasn’t going to harden, that bowl was already defrosted and I had to re freeze that darn thing another 24 hours.

We went to the tulip festival that next day and right when we got home I wanted to make some. It had been about 20 hours so I figured what the heck. You would think I would learn my lesson, but did I mention how impatient I am?  We ended up having milk shakes. They were the most delicious milk shakes I have ever had though! I had my camera set on the window thing above the sink so Owen couldn’t reach and Bode snapped these pictures of me making dinner. He’s such a goof. I didn’t know about the first one then he said, “Hey Mom!” to get me to look. He knows my tricks. 2013-04-19_0016
