Chemo week. Curse you. My sister has been taking her chemo pills for one week out of each month for 3 months now, soon to be 4... then all the way to 12 months. Her first cycle her mother in law came to help them in WA. Her second cycle we all spent some time with my aunt in Idaho, and her third cycle the boys and I flew out to help. Her fourth her sister in law is coming. I’m so behind, here is the catch up for the second month.
Brain Cancer seriously sucks, but I really do love all the time we get to spend with the Thurgoods. These cousins are so stinking cute together, I can’t even stand it. Kelli is a champ, and handles it amazingly well. I really don’t know how she does it all. I continue to be in awe of her and how she copes with the stresses of her health, along with everything else all us young moms deal with on a daily basis. It’s just not fair. She gest super tired, feels nauseous, and sometimes her head feels weird. I’m SURE she doesn’t even let me know all the ins and outs of how she is really feeling. She helps and does so much, I swear she doesn’t know how to relax even when she’s the one with “the cancer".
We spent the week swimming, playing, eating smores, shopping, we went to a water park, had a girls night with Kelli’s friend, talked a lot, slept in (thanks aunt Karolyn!) and overall just had a great time. Karolyn is seriously the best, and she really lets us take it easy while we are at her house. I’m pretty sure my boys would want to live with her if they had the choice! She spoils us all. The big kids loved their sleepovers and they all fit on one air mattress in the craft room. It was so cute. My cousin Nick was in town from college, and even he wrangled the kids a ton and entertained them for us. They loved Nick!
You can pretty much get a feel for our awesome week through these pictures.
Thanks Karolyn and Wayde!

A few things: Kelli is a champ! We pray for her daily. I am so thankful for all the memories you all are creating in the face of the cancer. She will be victorious in this fight- I just know it! And that chunky baby booty is the cutest thing I have ever seen. :)
