5 Months Old!

Bode is the best baby ever and I don't know how we got so lucky to be his parents! The time is going by so fast and he is getting cuter and funnier everyday. Clint has a blast every night tickling him to death and Bode laughs so cute! I love it. (I love it too because Clint is too preoccupied to tickle me!) He is very independent these days and loves to chill by himself. As long as he has something to play with he is happy. He drools all over everything, and tries to put everything in his mouth. His new thing is trying to suck on my cheeks and my chin. He is still very much a thumb sucker. Every nap and every bedtime you can bet his thumb is in his mouth. The poor skin at the base of the thumb is just raw he sucks so hard. I found out Clint was a thumb sucker! Like father like son I guess. Bode loves to sit up! For the past month he tries to always be sitting up. If you lay him back he will try his hardest to sit up. He can support himself for a few seconds before falling over, but I think he will be able to sit up on his own very soon. Everyone that sees Bode can't believe how big he is for his age or how chubby his cheeks are. Yes people he is chubby!! There is nothing wrong with that and I love it. This kid smiles all day long. It makes me happy just thinking about how happy he is. He is starting to get his hands out in front of him and his knees under him. Maybe he will crawl soon? I can't get enough of his cute face. His new thing is he loves to stand up against things. He can't do it for very long, but he sure tries hard! Bode in all his chubbiness.
