i probably shouldn't comment since i have no idea how to adjust it or anything but if you can get the shine off his forehead a little i think it would look really good. i like the coloring though :)

Nicole, I noticed the HUGE white spot on his forehead and also his nose and cheek. I couldn't for the life of me fix that.

And Tehmi: How do I do that? I have pse 7 and the original image is 3456 x 2304 pixels at 72 pixels per inch I believe.

I'm not sure how similar elements is to photoshop CS3, but on CS3 you can run an 'unsharp mask' its in your filters... and it will add a little more definition to the picture. To take the shine out you could use the clone stamp with a low opacity maybe? Again, I don't know if elements has those things or not... so this comment could be totally coming from left field, but just thought I would try to help.

BTW... i love all the pics you take of your little boy, makes me want to have a little one to photograph!

they are both nice.. it just depends which style you want for a picture..
they are both so different that you cant pick one better than the other.

i like the sooc shot. have you tried using an action set to sharpen and brighten it a bit? i suck with photoshop but i love action sets :)
