My dad lovingly called me a weekend widow which isn’t far off. Clint went fly fishing with his friend from work and so I decided to crash my Mom and Dad’s church BBQ. Bode had the time of his life and I am so glad we ended up going. This gorgeous place is 5 minutes away from my parent’s house. I couldn’t believe how pretty it was! The food was amazing. I told Clint our ward get togethers don’t come close in comparison. Bode would not eat anything except for cheetos. He sure missed out. He wandered around everywhere and had so much fun! Uncle Bret took Bode to the park around the corner from the pavilion and let us all finish eating our food. When I was done I was expecting to find them at the park and when I couldn’t I kind of panicked for a second! They were below the park looking at fish rise in the reservoir. After they hung out down there for a while they came back up so Bode could go down the slides. For the first little bit we were helping Bode get up and come down and really keeping an eye on him. I got to talking with this lady from their ward who is also a “weekend widow”" only her husband is a hunter. The next thing I know my Mom comes running over and said, “Bode is going down that big slide by himself!” Sure enough I watched Bode climb up the stairs, wait in line, and come down the slide… ALONE – over and over and over! My baby boy is growing up way too fast. He blended right in with all these kids much older than him (who by the way ALL had snotty noses. YUCK! I’m the germ police.. can’t help it.) Thanks Mom and Dad. We had so much fun, especially Bode. :)

"Weekend Widow" you need to come play with us again. Bode is no longer a baby, so you better work on getting another baby, haha!!
Weekend widow is a perfect fit. :) Gabe lives vicariously thru Clint-he tells me about every trip he is going on- I think he expects me to say- Oh you should go too-that would be fun for you. I never do :) You are a good wife!
