We spent the weekend with Clint’s Dad and Step Mom and we had a blast!! Bode got pretty close to his “bampa” and it was so cute. We swam a lot, fished, golfed, sat around and relaxed, Ron and Bonnie even watched Bode one night so Clint and I could see a Tuachan show. It was such a great weekend! On the golf course we kept seeing bunnies running all around. I pointed to one and said, “Bode look! It’s a bunny!” He immediately started pointing and said, “Hi Bummy!” I called them bummies from then on out because I didn’t want to correct him. The rest of the morning he kept saying, “Hi bummy!” and “Bye bye Bummy!” Every time Ron or Clint would swing their club Bode yelled, “Whoa!” He would run right back to the cart when they were done and as soon as we drove up and spotted wherever the balls were he would yell, “Ball! Der it is!” and be ready to hop out and run towards it. He really had the time of his life. He loved fishing, although the fish scared him a little bit. Every time they would pull one out of the water he would start running towards me so scared. I kept asking him if he was ok and he would say, “Yeah I’m ok.” He helped Ron reel some in and watched so intently when Clint and Ron kept catching them. We pulled up to the golf course where Ron was working Sunday morning to say bye and as soon as Bode saw the little fish pond he said, “Wata! I wanna pish.” It was so cute. Clint is overjoyed that Bode loved it. That little boy is going to spend a lot of his time growing up on the river. He still has a huge obsession with rocks. He will say, “ I wanna wock.” As soon as he would find one he would say, “Wan some wata!” The two go hand in hand of course. Even if he spots the smallest puddle he will throw a rock into it. Ron and Bonnie have a dry river in their back yard with tons of rocks and he was in heaven.
They had a small waterfall at the golf course and I had to practice slow shutter speeds. Of course I have to take pictures of everything!
Bode is pointing to a bummy.
Clint pointed out his foot and Bode copied him! It was so funny.
Riding along in the cart with mommy and daddy. Ron hitched a ride on the back.
This was us at Tuachan’s Cats. Clint made fun of the outfits and character the entire time. It was pretty weird I have to admit, but we had a lot of fun. We hardly ever go on dates without Bode anymore so that was really nice. It’s absolutely beautiful out there! I hadn’t really been since my older sister used to take flute lessons out there back in the day when we lived in Hurricane.
This was the morning we were packing up the car to head home. Bode was playing baseball with Clint and wouldn’t drop the bat.
Bampa Ron saying Bye to Bode. He keep talking about his bampa now that we’re home!
Erica and Andy watched Willow for us, and my mom and Dad watched Gunner and Battle. Thanks so much everyone for helping us out!! Everywhere we go people fall in love with Willow. Some people at a gas station in Cove Fort wanted a picture with her. It was pretty funny.
Bode had the time of his life in the car. Clint kept turning around and tickling him. He only took a 45 min nap and he was pretty tired from the trip overall but he did great. He got a little fussy towards the end.
I kept handing him toys trying to take his attention away to the fact he was bored and kept asking, “I wanna get out! Pease momma?!” He grabbed one of his toys, turned it around and kept turning on and off the lights in the car with it. He was so proud of himself he said, “Wook! I did it!” Clint and I just laughed and laughed. He’s too smart for his own good.
We broke up the trip visiting Erica and Andy in Cedar City and also getting Willow from them. They have a nice garden and I am jealous!! I want a garden now. Logan and Bode had fun playing together.
I was so worn out by the time we got to Spanish Fork I left my camera in the car, but we spent some time with my parents and Bret. They fed us dinner and we picked up the dogs from them. It was such a great weekend and we are learning we can do more and more with Bode the older he gets. It’s so fun!! We have a few more big trips planned this summer and we can’t wait. Up next is a week in Idaho fishing! Thanks Ron and Bonnie for having us over and feeding us some great food and watching Bode. Thanks to my family for watching the dogs. :)
