Bode is so handsome in his church clothes. I never remember to get pictures of him before he grows out of church clothes and I need to buy new ones. I’m really trying to make an effort now to snap a few quick pictures before church. Clint and I are in charge of nursery every Sunday. I’m not going to lie.. I hate it. I’m really trying to have a positive attitude but last Sunday we had 17 kids and I thought I was going to kill myself. Not really, but it was pretty hectic. Our normal 10 to 12 kids is crazy enough. I feel like the bad kids and criers get all of the attention, while the good kids get left alone basically to entertain themselves! Lessons and song times are usually pretty good, but with so many kids even that is chaos. Everyone assures us that people don’t stay in the Nursery very long because they know it’s a hard calling to have, but at the same time it’s really hard for them to find new people because lots of people say no. I hope we don’t stay in there for too long. I think Bode would do better if we weren’t in there with him! He’s pretty good for the most part, but if I’m holding a screaming baby he can get jealous. I feel like I missed out on my moment to send him off to the nursery and cry as the door is closing.. you know how everyone does. His first time in there I was in there too. They said it would be good for us to be in there since Bode was going to be in there too, but Bode doesn’t cry when we leave him places! I was looking forward to dumping him off and enjoying my classes for once. It’s been almost 5 months so we will see how much longer we can last. When we first started being in there I was so paranoid about germs and kids with runny noses. If I spotted one I would have Clint take Bode home. It seemed like we were sick all of the time! I posted a notice for parents to leave their sick kids at home and I started sending them out to their parents. I think it offended a few of them but I don’t care!! Who in their right mind takes their kid places where tons of other kids are when they know they are sick? Yeah it’s inconvenient when you have stuff to do and your kid is sick but don’t make it a burden on everyone else. Here’s to having a positive attitude!! I need to find one.

What a cutie you have! His hair sure has gotten thick lately. Sorry about the nursery... what a hard call! Just think of the blessing that you'll get (that's positive thinking for you). hahahah Good luck.
I've been out of the blogging world for awhile and I swear Bode got so much bigger! he gets cuter every day! The church clothes are so dang cute! I missed how you ended up with "dogs" instead of just Gunner. good luck with that! We tried it once and about shot ourselves-we had to get rid of the other dog. Glad you guys are doing well! :)
17 KIDS?! I wasn't there that week--sick kids--but next time you have so many kids, come grab me out of sunday school and I will help! That is nuts! And kudos on taking the kids out. If everyone would do that, nursery would be a safer place! :)
(And, of course, you are right: Bode is ADORABLE in those clothes!)
Before we moved to PA I was the nursery leader in my ward and I was amazed at the condition some of the kids were in when their parents would try to drop them off. They would have fevers, rashes, I even had one mom tell me sorry they were late for nursery but her kid just got done throwing up. Needless to say that child did not get to stay, I think the mom was mad but I didn't care. Good luck, nursery is tough sometimes.
I think you where meant to be in there just cause of that reason no one else would get the guts to say nope your kid is sick except for you and maybe me cause i am the same way i think it is so rude leave your kids home if they are sick, love it!! he is getting so big and cuter every day :)
