Playing Catch Up

Santa came to our house on a fire truck. Bode was kind of nervous at first, but enjoyed the bag of candy!

Dinner with my parents. (Thanks! We had fun.)

Bode is doing awesome in his big boy underwear! He still prefers to go pantless though. My favorite look is the no pants plus rain boots.

Bode enjoying a chilly afternoon at the park. It was one of the warmer days we had before he started getting sick.

He always has his tongue out! It’s as if he can’t concentrate on anything if it’s not out. This kid cracks me up when he gets in front of a mirror. He is always sticking out his tongue and making faces then laughing at himself.

My mom and I (but basically my mom) slaved away for an entire day sewing stockings. We even made an extra in case we have a little one anytime soon! I’ll be happy if I never have to iron or talk about biased tape for the rest of my life. I didn’t even sew it!

Bode was pretty darn good the day at my mom’s. He didn’t get a nap and was starting to bug me right when my dad came home from work. Thank heavens to my dad for keeping him company the rest of the night! This was Friday night of last week.. the first night of Bode having some sort of stomach bug. He threw up at my mom and dad’s a few times, and every hour after that for the next 2 1/2 - 3 days. I realized at 3am my dad let him eat a lot of peanuts. I mean A LOT. IMG_4438

This was what a few days consisted of. It was really sad!

He was pretty miserable, but he’s always been such a “good” sick kid. He never complains! We would hear him every 30 mins to an hour through the nights throwing up. We’d run in there and he would say, “I go baf, I frow up. But I’n ok.” So off the bath Clint would take him while I changed the bedding and started the wash. What a long few days that was! Clint and I enjoyed the extra snuggles though.

Got the tree up! Thank heavens for shatterproof ornaments.  Over the summer I decided I wanted to start collecting ornaments from our family trips. A bunch of people in my family do this and it sounded fun! When Bode and whatever future kids we have grow up they will have all these ornaments to remember the fun times. I got one in the Bahamas as well, but I can’t find it! I think I’m going to find some place where I can make an ornament with a picture of Bode on it. I’ll go back and make one for his first Christmas as well. I’ll continue this every year!
Well, that officially catches me up! Off to take a shower for the day… at 1:34pm.. Don’t judge! It may be the middle of the afternoon but it’s better than no shower at all.

oh so your stealing my picture's every year on the tree thing are you? haha! I think I got the idea from a pottery barn magazine anyway but I thought it was such a cute idea! I love looking at the kids growing up on my tree! If you're interested I got mine from the pottery barn kids website. Glad Bode is finally feeling better!

Wow.. hope he's okay by now. I can't believe how well he speaks! Is he totally potty trained yet? I am going to work on it with Capri next week! I'm a little nervous! lol
