Our poor raspberries are hanging in there. My grandma and grandpa came by to visit a few months back and told us they should be deep green and not this yellowish green. We fertilized them a few times and they are still light green! Some of the plants look black around the edges like they are burned or something too. It’s weird. We manage to get about a handful of berries everyday. Bode loves going out there and pulling them off. I’m really trying to help him to understand they have to be ready to pull! After trying to eat a bunch of white ones, he now makes sure they are ready.
My grandma has given us bunches of raspberries from her yard and I can’t wait to make freezer jam. Yumm. We ate the first batch that was meant for the jam.. so I’m for sure saving this second batch to make it.
Our lilies are kinda crappy this year. :( They all bloomed and then we went out of town for a few days and they were all gross and dying by the time we got back! I snapped some pictures of my neighbor’s flowers instead.
They are so big and so beautiful! I just love the pink lilies.
Bode can’t go outside without trying to find rolley polleys. I used to let him collect them in a cup and every once in a while the cup would make it inside the house. I didn’t really think much of it. I told him to be really careful and assumed they stayed in the cup. Once he lost interest, I would just dump the cup outside. Well, one day Clint got home from work and found like 8 rolley polleys in the house!! He was so upset! 4 of them were in the dishwasher??? SO now there are NO rolley polleys allowed in the house. haha. Someone needs to tell Clint to lighten up, eh? Or maybe I should be more concerned.
