Splash Pad

So we have a park right around the corner from our house. This park recently opened up a splash pad they built in a corner of the park. It’s not the biggest or greatest one I’ve ever seen, but it is nice to have so close. Bode is a little wimp and hates to get splashed anyway – so we don’t need anything fancy. I’ve taken him to the Highland Splash park a few times this summer, and he really likes that one… Mostly because of the rocks and waterfall.

The first time we went with some friends and Bode hardly got wet. He played with this one shoot you see below and that was it! He didn’t want anything to do with the rest of it.

The second time we went with Clint. Now Clint made Bode get wet and he was NOT happy about it! He did get braver as time went by, but I wouldn’t say he was enjoying himself. He kept yelling at Clint to stop it.

This time he got wet, so I had to warm him up.

I was really happy he decided to run around and splash in the big puddle. I’m sitting there cheering him on and BAM – water shot up out of nowhere. It was hilarious.

The second picture above makes me laugh every time! It makes Clint so mad that Bode is such a wimp, but I actually like it. He walks around the perimeter of the pad and minds his own business. I get to sit back in my camping chair and watch him avoid the water. Fun times!

He was pretty upset. Oh Bode! I sure love him.
