My sister had a baby so Owen and I flew out to visit the girls in Washington. We stayed there for a week and I was too worried to leave Owen at home. I decided to bring him and that was an awful idea! He got croup the second day we were there (for the first time ever) and he also cut 4 top teeth. Poor thing was a mess. I felt so bad for him, but at the same time I felt so bad that I brought him!
My sister looked fabulous and was doing so well managing the newborn and the two older kids. I helped with what I could, but she totally had everything under control! It was crazy. I was so proud of her. I was wishing I could have helped more because my little sister has ALWAYS been there for me. I text her throughout the day and at wee hours of the night and she always helps me when I need her. She commiserates with me when I’m complaining about the woes of life, she is the first to know new and exciting things the kids are up to, and she’s always there to make me laugh out loud. Literally. My world is a better place with her there.
The girls are just so precious and I LOVED spending time with them all. I wish they were closer and we could visit with them more often. They are so cute when they play together and they are so tender hearted. It was a huge change of pace for me since my house is nothing but boy stuff. The girls loved playing with my phone and they enjoyed all the dinosaur apps. :) I think my fave activity with them was reading books before bed. They introduced me to Pinkalicious, Purpleicious, Goldilicious, and Silverlicious. They were the cutest books ever!
Kacie is the best little baby! She was so precious and so good. She slept and ate and that was about it. I love snuggling up with her and getting to spend time with her. She was so tiny and looked just like her daddy. I swear she slept all day long until I tried to get pictures of her and then she was wide eyed awake. We still managed to get some pretty cute shots though.
I took a bunch of pictures with my iPhone and so I will have to do another post with those some other time. Here are just a bunch of pictures throughout our trip.
Miss you cute Thurgood faces!!!
