Splash Park

Clint’s mom, Grandma Cozzy, came to our house last week with our niece Nikki. We thought it would be fun to walk over to the splash park! I had already been with Bode earlier that day and he loved it. It’s so darn cute watching him ride his bike places. He still gets a little nervous about riding over the part where it transitions to the road, but he is doing lots better! He’s also doing better at the splash park. He will actually get wet! Owen.. well, he had his first time in the actual water part this day and he LOVED every second of it. He is not afraid to get all wet and play in the water. He was crawling all around just having a blast. Everyone was having a great time and then Bode had to go to the bathroom. Clint took him and while he was in there he cut his toe on the door. Pretty bad! It was so sad. He was so upset holy cow. We tried to clean it off as best as we could and wrapped it up in a diaper wipe and headed home. Trying to clean it more at home proved very difficult. Bode was freaking out. He tried to be brave and we tried to walk him through it, and eventually we were able to run it under water and take a good look. It was pretty deep so Clint put some of Owen’s teething numbing stuff on it and that helped out a ton. After that kicked in Bode was awesome at letting Clint really get in there and clean it and bandage it all up. Poor guy! He limped around for at least 3 days after that.
