Poor Clint
Clint busted up his chin tubing with the scouts. He came home Saturday afternoon with paper towels taped to his bleeding chin. Immediately after seeing the cut, I told him we needed to take him to an Clinic for stitches. Medical bills are a sore spot around here, so he refused to rack up more. I called the nearest clinic and there was no wait, but still he said no way. It was bleeding, and deep and so gross. I have had stitches a bunch in my life, and my guess would be that his cut needed 10-12. It was worse than any cut I ever had to get stitches for. He couldn't reach to see what he was doing, so I gave in and helped him. We cleaned it out with hydrogen peroxide (the entire tip of the q-tip basically fit into his cut.) It actually looks pretty good, so I am hoping it heals with out any problems. He already has lock jaw to begin with, and now his poor chin and jaw are so sore. He can't even chew to eat! We stayed home from church today and Clint got to hang out with Bode. I couldn't take a before picture because it was too gross, but here is an after.

Butterfly bandages are a great 2nd choice to stitches, they keep things nice and tight - Good luck.
Oh gosh that is not good! I hope it doesn't scar...
poor guy! i busted my chin open 3 times in my life.. in the very same spot!! i had about 10 stitches and it was very difficult. But im accident prone and stupid.. so we should expect this behavior from me right? They glue it together now at the ER.. how do i know this.. well, since my adult life i cut things open all the time. im retarted... so, maybe it will heal fine anyways?! good luck to your chin Clint!
That looks painful! So he didn't go in to get stitches? I think he should - even though I hear ya on those medical bills...
How did he bust it open anyway? Great job on supergluing it!
