My sister Kelli needed some family photos. I gladly offered and my whole family headed up to their house. There was a horrible wreck in the Provo Canyon on the way up. I was snapping pictures and all the sudden we see a helicopter. I took a picture of it, and then a minute later traffic was at a stand still.
We were thinking the helicopter was life flight. We ended up parking and not moving for at least 20 minutes.
Utah people crack me up when there is an accident. Over and over you hear the news people saying “due to spectator slowing….” Yeah people stop and stare and cause even more bad traffic. This story was no different. People were getting out of their cars and walking down the road to see what was going on! Ridiculous. About half way into our wait, an ambulance was flying by the other side of the highway.
Clint doesn’t think it was going very fast, but I was sitting there having my camera ready on a fast shutter speed just in case. Bode was kinda getting antsy at this point so Clint started playing games with him. He cracks us up. (That green, brown and white blur in the back is Gunner.)
Traffic started moving and the wreck was a sad sight. It looked like someone got drilled coming out of Bridal Veil Falls and onto the highway. I pray no one got hurt. I tried looking up the story on ksl.com but I couldn’t find anything. I’m crossing my fingers that everything turned out ok. It didn’t look good.
We ended up having fun over at Kelli’s house. We tried getting some family pictures for Kelli in the freezing cold weather. You can see the pictures on My Photoblog. After pictures Kaylan, Kenna and Bode had naps, then we all got some food! We had a great time, so thanks for having us!
