Stats

I took Bode and Owen to the Doctor last week for a combined check up. Clint was going to come with me, but ended up having to work. It would have been a good idea had Clint been with me… but 2 boys at the Dr. both getting shots with just little old me was NOT fun. Never again.

Owen is doing great! He’s so chunky and all is well. Here are the little guys stats:

  • Weight - 12.71 lbs. – 70%
  • Height - 23.5 inches – 67%
  • Head - 15.9 inches – 59%

Bode is also doing great. Here are his 3 year stats:

  • Weight – 35.4 lbs. – 83% (This was fully clothed!)
  • Height – 39.5 inches – 90%
  • They didn’t measure his head! ha-ha.

I’m really blessed to have two happy healthy boys! Bode got his shots first and flipped out. It was so sad. I was trying to console him so I scooped him right up off that table and started patting his back and saying, “Oh honey! I’m sorry. It’s ok. You’ll feel better in a few minutes.. it’s ok.. “ Bode barked back, “I am NOT honey! I am Bode Clinton Romney and STOP burping me!!!”

Owen was up next. I had finally calmed down Bode and he helped me hold one of Owen’s hands, and I held the other one. Owen got the shots and started crying immediately! It was just so sad. :( I picked him up and calmed him down and I look over and Bode was crying again. He was so upset that his brother was upset. What a mess! I’m glad Bode won’t need another check up until he starts school because I can’t handle that again! I felt like crying with the boys. Bode talked about his “meam meam doctors” for days after that. It’s hard trying to explain to a 3 year old that Doctors are not mean, they are just helping prevent us from getting sick. It’s way over his head! Just like trying to convince Bode that I can turn right on a red light is ok too. He always tells me I shouldn’t have gone because the light wasn’t green. AHH!

This is Owen after we got home. I just love his chunky legs!!

You can kind of tell that he has a small hernia on his belly button. :( Dr. says it will go away on it’s own.

UGGHHH! I can't stand doctor's appts. especially on my own with both kids. If it makes you feel better I had to take Griff in a couple of weeks ago for shots. He freaked! He was so worked up after the shots he refused to get dressed. After a good 15 min. of struggling to get him dressed I ended up carrying him out kicking and scream in just his undies! I cried the whole way home!
