Consider yourself warned… Long post with tons of pictures!
We went down to Clint’s dad’s house for Thanksgiving. It’s beautiful in St. George this time of year! I loved it. Clint’s brother Andy was also there with his cute family and the kids had a blast. Everyone was out and about one evening and I was at home with Owen. Owen was sleeping, so I snapped a few pictures in the back yard. They have the prettiest stuff back there.
Jodi and I went on a few walks while there. Now she is wonder woman when it comes to making sure to work out on vacation. Me? Not so much. I was happy for the 2 walks I got! And don’t think normal strolls in the park. Jodi had me walking fast and up major hills. We stopped by the park for the kiddos. Darci and Bode had fun. :)
Baby Owen was full of smiles for Grandpa Ron and cousin Drew. Let me just say that Owen was a DREAM the entire trip. Best baby ever. He even woke me up to eat one night long enough to score a Black Friday Wii bundle. Woo hoo!
Darci and Bode playing outside. I miss the nice weather already.
Talk about a Thanksgiving feast… Bonnie did an AMAZING job. She cooked all day and it was so yummy. I thought for sure this would blow my diet-but-eat-enough-calories-to-nurse-still diet. Thank heavens I managed to still lose a bit of weight and not gain more this trip. I want the old me back!
The hot tub. Bode didn’t want to get in. He didn’t even want to pack his swim suit. Somehow we talked him into getting in and he did have fun.
Darci loved the water. Andy even tricked her into jumping into the frigid pool. Bode would have cried. Heck, I would have cried. Darci? No. She just started shaking and making funny faces. She is one tough girl.
We all headed into St. George to this lovely carousel. Bode loved it. He didn’t want me riding with him, or even standing next to him. He told me to get on a horse. The kids had a good time. Thanks Grandpa Ron.
Splash pads are always a good time. Bode did get a bit wet and wanted new pants asap. The poor kid had to wait until we got home.
We took a tour of the old Tabernacle. I guess someone we’re related to the guy who made the chandelier.. or fought to keep the spiral staircase? I’m not really sure. I couldn’t listen to the tour because Bode was all over the place. A little bit more than half way through I bailed out the back. Clint and Andy didn’t even last though the second room before they headed outside, so I did make it a little longer than them! Bode is so naughty at things like this. He wanted to run around and be loud and distracting. It is a really pretty building though.
I wanted one family picture to prove we were all on the trip. I handed Andy my camera and told him to take some. He took pictures of me running to get Bode, some of us, then he had a photo shoot with Clint and baby Owen. I have no idea what Clint was doing with that poor baby… or what Andy was doing with the weird angle and all. The funniest thing is Darci snooping through my purse! I didn’t even notice that at the time.
Darci decided after the tour was a good time to take her shirt off. That girl cracks me up! And Drew was so excited about the little pictures he scored inside the museum. Bode wanted to play by the water again.. and this is actually when he got his crotch and bum all wet.
Ron was nice and took us all to the Dinosaur museum. I thought it would have actual dinosaurs.. but it more more just to show the dinosaur tracks that were preserved and found in the area. Bode wasn’t interested at all. He couldn’t touch anything and so the whole time we were getting on him to stop touching! Clint was busy checking out something and I watched Bode try to sneak under the rope. It was pretty funny and he was successful. Baby Owen fell right asleep in the baby Bjorn. I couldn’t resist taking a picture of his smooshed cheeks.
Bode was over the moon about the gift shop. The entire shop was all about dinosaurs. As if he needed anymore dinosaurs. We did let him get some cheap glow in the dark kit thing.
And just a few more random pictures.. I just love baby Owen. He was looking so cute in his little grandpa sweater and loafers one day. Sunday morning we were trying to get packed up and ready to leave and he wanted to take a little snoozer on the bed. The other is him in just a diaper because he had TWO major blow outs during the trip. The others are the kid table at Thanksgiving, and the kiddos eating breakfast one morning.
Thanks to Ron and Bonnie for letting us stay at your place! We had a great time and were glad to have Andy, Jodi and the kids to hang out with.
I have so much to be thankful for!!!!
