We got the pass of all passes again this year, just like everyone else in Utah. I wasn’t sure how it would go with Owen and Bode, but it’s been ok! Owen is way more flexible about his schedule than Bode ever was, which makes it way nice. Bode is not as scared of the water and enjoys himself now. Owen loves being in the water! I have a hard time trying to let him do his own thing and still be safe. We’ve already been a couple times and the boys have done pretty darn good.
This year our passes include the Salt Lake location (formerly knows as Raging Waters) and I think I may like that one better. It’s older and more run down, plus the water is a lot colder. It does seem less chaotic though. I think I like it better because I HATE going to Provo. I would much rather drive to Salt Lake than head south any day. I brought along my camera (well, my old camera- so Clint’s camera) the first time we went because I had friends with us that could watch Owen for me. I don’t think I’ll bring it along again – but at least I got some pictures to document our summer fun.
Below are Bode’s friends Gabe and Cooper. Those three had a blast in the wave pool! Bode was terrified of falling off the tube and flipped out whenever he lost his balance or his friends would push him over to sit wherever he was.
He hated wearing his life jacket last summer, but this year he realizes that if he wears it then he won’t drown in the water. I think he feels safer in it because he was actually asking me to put it on him.
Can’t leave out the cell snappies!
