My baby is 3. It's so crazy to think how big he's gotten. He is so full of personality and I can't imagine life without our Owen. He is very trying at times and the complete opposite of his older brother, but I wouldn't change him if I could. He hates his curly hair and will tell me to cut it so he can have a mohawk. I can't bear the thought of it! He is pretty much known for his hair. I look back through baby pictures of when he was bald and it's hard to believe! He looks completely different with all those glorious curls. He gets comment wherever we go about his hair. Just yesterday at the post office a nice older woman was telling him he had the most amazing hair. She asked him if she could have some of his curls to put on her straight hair. He got shy and hid behind my leg. A few minutes later I notice that he is ripping his hair out!!! He had a handful of about 5 hairs and offered them to the lady. What a sweet boy! Crazy... but sweet. She said, "Oh dear, didn't that hurt you?!" He just smiled and did his little smirk and click noise. If you haven't seen his smirk and click, it's HILARIOUS. For real.
Anyway, onto his party. He wanted to invite his best friend and Bode's best friend and go fishing. They are our neighbors and BFFs for life. That is all these boys wanted to do all summer long was fish. They are obsessed. It only seemed fitting to combine their love for fishing and the birthday party. I got a little cake, invited the boys, and Clint had his friend Jake get us onto the land. The boys loved it! It was so much fun. We only had one tiny incident where Owen fell and landed in a fresh cow pie, but other than that I would say it was a success. :)
