Sheridan Trip : 1

Clint’s childhood friends were getting married to each other and we thought it would be cool to go to their wedding. They live in Seattle so Clint assumed the wedding would be there. We thought it would be awesome to fly out and see my sister and her cute family. When we got the announcement it said the wedding was in Sheridan, Wyoming… Clint’s old hometown that he hadn’t been back to in like 12 years. At first we were like man.. bummer! But then we got to thinking and figured might as well go. What the heck right?

We left the fire burning in our neighborhood and got on the road on that Sunday morning. Clint had the entire week off from work and I was practically giddy! He will take a Friday off here and there, sometimes half day Thursday and Friday type thing.. but not usually a week. We decided to break up the 10 hour drive on the way there and stopped in Thermopolis, Wyoming. It’s a quaint little town known for the world’s largest natural spring water park. More on that later!

The drive was pretty darn good. Owen napped like a champ both naps in the car and Bode is always a great little traveler. Bode was so cute to hand Owen snacks and toys and stuff. It was way better than I thought it would be. Bode was asleep and I didn’t want to stop for this scenic picture, but it was so beautiful! We stopped. . And I think he woke up. Or maybe it was Owen? I can’t remember. Anyway, right before we got into town we stopped by the river in the canyon and Bode loved throwing rocks. Of course I snapped some pictures and we even set up the timer and got some family shots. I’m looking pretty haggard, but that’s what 6 and a half hours in a car will do to ya.
