We signed Bode up for Tball and the first practice he was in heaven. He was listening to his coach, meeting new friends, and running a muck. I am not sure what happened from practice to the first game, but Bode hated the game. I think he gets overwhelmed with tons of people yelling at him what to do and stuff. That is the only thing I can think of. He would be out in the field all forlorn and depressed. It was so sad! He would barely hit the ball when he was up to bat (he can send a ball flying across our yard normally..) and then we’d be yelling at him to run to first base and he would walk as SLOW as possible with his head down and a big frown on his face. I had to stand in the outfield with him for a couple games because he just didn’t want to be out there. The ball would practically fall on the ground at his feet and he would NOT pick it up to save his life. One time I even picked it up hoping that I could give it to him and he’d throw it to first base, but nope. He wouldn’t even take it. So I tossed it to first base and my friends in the crowd were like way to go Lori! I felt stupid, but I was trying to help him out. It got to the point that it wasn’t fun for any of us. We quit going half way through. It just dawned on me that I probably even missed my game that I was supposed to bring snacks too. Oops. Anyway – here are a bunch of pictures I took throughout a few practices and games that we did make it to.
